Hiking the Swiss Alps
The ‘Four Sources Trail‘ in the Gotthard massif leads to the sources of the four rivers Rhine, Rhone, Reuss and Ticino. The 85 km hut to hut hike takes 5 days and passes through unique alpine landscapes with a large variety of plants, animals and historical evidence. It crosses several wetlands with streams, ponds, lakes and bogs with their typical vegetation. Longer sections are above the treeline with stunning views over the Alps and even a viewpoint over the Rhone Glacier. Information on www.vier-quellen-weg.ch
