Nearly 10 years ago I bought this ‘81 Volkswagen T3 Westfalia Camper. It’s a pleasure to go on road-trips with this vehicle which in the German speaking area is called ‘Bulli’. Wherever you go people get overfilled by nostalgia and you get into conversations and interesting rememberings of the past. Children would stick their faces at their car windows while overtaking me. When ‘Bulli’ drivers meet on the street they would wave hands to greet each other. You also need some kind of acknowledgement because there’s always something to repair or at least you need to know a great car mechanic. Enter and go your way like an ‘Easy Rider’ and feel the freedom on the street and spend the night nearly wherever you like.
