The Laguna Aculeo is located about 70 km southwest of Santiago de Chile. Only 10 years ago it was a beautiful spot with plenty of water from the Andes and with its island a famous destination for vacations or a trip for the weekend. A Place where people went for swimming, chilling on boats, windsurfing or fishing. Meanwhile you find slim, bony cows underneath the former boat docks seeking for shadow. Due to a mega drought in the region since then, increasing population and huge amounts of water consuming plantations it dried out. Some people haven’t given up their hope and say it just needs to rain a lot.
