During my six months in Ethiopia, I found myself constantly drawn to the people I met and the small moments of everyday life around me. My black and white photographs grew out of those encounters — a glance, a smile, a gesture, or a quiet moment that stayed with me. Without color, I could focus on faces, light, and expression, and on the character behind each moment. I wasn’t looking for posed portraits, but for something honest and unplanned. These photographs are my personal memories of Ethiopia and of the people who, in their own way, made those six months such a meaningful experience.
