Valparaíso, or “Valpo” as the locals call it, is a colorful port city on Chile’s west coast and one of South America’s great places for street art. Its bohemian character comes alive through festivals, musicians, and artists who have made the city their canvas. Wandering through the steep streets with a camera, there is always something to discover – from vibrant graffiti and faded old buildings to rusty corrugated facades and the city’s antique funiculars. For me, Valparaíso is a place where color, decay, and everyday life come together in a way that makes simply walking around with a camera a pleasure.
