Humahuaca
Humahuaca is a small city and World Heritage Site in the province of Jujuy in the north of Argentina. It has been inhabited for at least 10,000 years and was part of the Inca empire. The region has always been a crossroads for economic, social and cultural communication. Located in a valley up in the mountains at 3,000 meters above sea level it is surrounded by acres of cactus and spectacularly colorful mountains of the ‘Quebrada de Humahuaca’.
